Foreclosures are tempting to buy but are you getting what you pay for? I have been working with distressed properties for over 10 years and they are never as good a deal as the look. Many first time buyers and investors are sucked in by the media hype of making millions in Real Estate. When all they are doing is feeding the machine with fresh sources of cash. Most experianced Real Estate Agents do not know how to properly evaluate a distressed property. They underestimate the repair cost and overestimate the value of the proeprty after the repairs are complete. TV has glamorized the process and guiding many first time investors to financial ruin. Contractors will drag out repairs, Real Esate agents suck up profits and renters destroy property. If you are thinking about getting into the game make sure you have done your homework.
